Passing back to cooper from halfway line boring football.
No shots on target AGAIN.
Cannot see us getting anymore points this season.

You will have to wait till Saturday for 3 points to pay back those boro fans attending last night's game, long way on a Tuesday night for a piss poor performance.

Think we'll finish about 5 points off the relegation zone at this rate. Only 10 clear atm.

So we will stay up in the division, despite 90% of Borochat shitting their pants for the majority of the season that we were going to be relegated?
Played Revs.

Possibly though next season if we play like this our "luck" might run out.So imo we need to change management team or see a change from them.

Rev's stubbornness to not change formation is going to come back to haunt him. Just repeating what's failed before in the 'hope' that something might magically change. Yes, we've had some good performance's with this formation, but the last few weeks we've been pretty poor. We've been inept in front of goal pretty much all season, and have now lost the ability to keep a clean sheet. The worst of both worlds. I don't know what they do in training, but we haven't improved in the final 3rd. I'd like to see 3-5-2 Saturday, with some attacking threat, because we are getting nowhere fast with this current system, other than getting a few compliments from opposition supporters that we play nice football!! Just like last year, this season is petering out badly. 2 more defeats in our next 2 and we will start looking over our shoulders.

We have plenty of quality in the squad. The manager has no clue how to use them and is tactically inept! If Revell is still here next season, I will certainly not be renewing my season ticket.

I'd hoped that when we became a 'safe midtable side' he might try to play a little more open and see how we go.
That dream quickly evaporated

When do we play nice football? I must have missed it. There’s nothing remotely nice about the football that we play - unless your an opposition player and then it’s an absolute joy.

Problem is, Rev's can't get any sort on consistency out of the team. We've struggled to create chances, let alone take them. We are ponderous on the ball, with no incisive attacking. Little movement from front 4 forces the ball to go backwards. They've had 9 months to sort this out. Obviously we are punching well above our weight, but Rev's is not helping the situation with his tactics, and in game management. And the fact he thinks we played well last night is staggering. How do you lose 3 - 0 with no shots on target, and claim we played well. He is in denial at the moment. Lose Saturday, and then Wycombe away next, we will be looking over our shoulder at the bottom 4. I don't believe we will go down, but we are making this way harder than it needs to be.

I think our possession and pass completion stats were at our 'top end', so that elementnofnour play was OK based on the numbers.
It's the final third where we are really poor, have been all.season, Kemp aside, as our goal return (and no doubt our XG) show.
We haven't had a settled midfield all season. Not sure anyone knows what our best midfield is. They are all up and down like yoyos, at the beginning Harvey White was our best player, then Dan Philips, then Louis, now they are all just a bit meh.
The fact we are now routinely making sloppy defensive mistakes is what is really concerning. Pidge isn't a brick wall anymore. Sweeney has a mistake in him every game and Goode is struggling.

A good analysis of where we are. Our lack of attacking pressure on opposing defences, by passing backwards, allows our oponents to push forward. This puts more pressure on our defence. Oponents who study our play have now well and truly worked us out. We tend to play the same pattern of football nearly all the time so we are easy to work out. I will add, I don't think its anyones fault but it it might be all we can achieve with the players we have.

In defence, stating obvious, but we are missing TVC and the chopping and changing of FBs due to injuries has not helped either.

More than just the FBs, we have had very long spells with key defenders missing. Sweeney, Goode, LJW and Butler have all had extended spells out. As has Smith.
Freestone struggled for form initially. TVC not being an option and NT going didn't help.
Maybe not having TAH has impacted us a bit, Cooper is good but he has different attributes to TAH.

I think Cooper has been our player of the season by a country mile. He has a worldy in him most games...and (good though Taye is) without him we would have been in a relegation scrap (IMO).

We’re blessed with two decent keepers. Taye is our player though and there’s nothing left to play for. Should be putting Taye in or we risk being without either next season.

What? I can't remember many saves he has made that you wouldn't expect from your keeper.
Which isn't to say he isn't a top keeper, but I recall Taye making stunning saves every game in L2 but not Cooper this season, he just does his job (very well) in the most part.

When Taye did get a chance against Birmingham in that cup game, he was outstanding.
Although Cooper has been outstanding, I can't imagine he'll be with us next season. I think its time for Taye to take over again. Cooper letting 3 in against Stockport is good enough reason to let Taye back in even if Cooper wasn't to blame.

On your final point why drop Cooper if the goals you mentioned not his fault. If you point was we should rotate them could see it even though I might not agree.

Re: Same old shit

Because Cooper isn't ours and Taye is.
I am pretty certain Taye is still under contract next season, and will have been nothing but professional, so (unless perhaps we sign Cooper on a permanent this summer) should be back in goal next season, but it may have put doubts in his mind and may prevent him signing an extension, meaning we either have to sell him next season or lose him on a free. Hopefully not.

Injuries to Taye haven't helped his spell with us. He missed the final 3 months of his first season with us, then last season was injured from the turn of the year up until the beginning of the season.
Agree we must start playing him now though.

I suspect Cooper might be available on a free transfer end of season as heard QPR need to offload players due to money issues.Do we sign him? assume would be salary drop so he would want so sort of promise he is no 1

Or they’ll offload their higher earners and use him themselves. He’s proven to be a more than competent keeper.
For what it’s worth I think Taye is the better keeper. But Cooper has done nothing wrong to be dislodged over the season. In that instance I’d always plump with using our player rather than the one borrowed from elsewhere.

If the chances are Cooper doesn't stay with us next season and if Revs needs a reason to justify Taye to come back in, this is the time. Up until Taye injured his hand he was the rock in our team so let him play this season out. I will say that we were fortunate to have such a good reserve in place as in Cooper.

The most upsetting thing with Taye is when he gets wheeled out with his knees calcified and his gloves all covered in cobwebs and doesn't do very well, he'll get slaughtered and we'll end up letting him go for free when it had looked like we had a future Championship goalie on our books.

Yup, like that home game (Wycombe was it?) where those in the North were absolutely slating him after a couple of wobbles in his first game in forever, totally disregarding how phenomenal he was for us for the previous two seasons, and I have no doubt would have been again this season had he not started it injured.
I will be mightily pissed off if he leaves because of this.

I went into the season thinking if nothing else at least we have a brilliant keeper. Then we signed Cooper and whilst he's done well it felt unnecessary and a waste of our own player.

In fairness Cooper grabbed his chance when Taye was injured and has been too good to drop. I am a big fan of Taye. He was pissed about by Evans for no sensible reason, but this time round Cooper has kept him out on merit (just about).
Shame you can only play one keeper, though with Rev's tactical nouse I wouldn't rule anythng out.

Unless we sign Cooper I agree 100%.
If we sign Cooper we should be offloading TAH for money. Don't need two L1 quality 'keepers on the books. Bad injury, get an emergency loan. Otherwise cheap journeyman or young keeper on the bench.
