Leaving Shrewsbury to become Gillingham Manager, Am I the only one who thinks he's massively overrated as a manager?

Probably makes sense for all involved but kicking a man when he's down from a Shrewsbury perspective.

Just read he was on sort of rolling contract at Shrews and Coleman was only at Gills to end of season deal. Not sure what the change now as Shrews wanted him to stay us seems Gills safe, thought all.parties would agree to sort it out at end of season.

I'd imagine he didn't want a relegation on his CV, he wanted to be closer to home and he wanted to have a good look at his squad ahead of a summer rebuild given how Gills have performed most of this season.
That and the certainty of a proper contract.
And the fact he's no longer living 4 nights a week in a travelodge in a business park outside Telford, having dinner in a Beefeater.

He probably gets a take out and stays late in the office for a jam

Probably a combination of things:
- Bigger playing budget next season
- Higher potential ceiling for Gillingham than Shrewsbury
- Bigger/longer contract for himself
- Location (South East v West Midlands)

I actually think he's underrated because of the style of football he plays is not to everyone's taste

Regularly achieves a PPG of over 1.7
Frequently tops 37% wins
I'd say he's quite decent most of the time at winning matches.

He got Wycombe into the Championship and nearly kept them there. There's definitely far worse in the lower echelons of the EFL.
