‘Kin hell
Views: 1012
Referee has 2 very, very easy decisions to make which if he gets right there is no doubt we win the game. He is clearly not fit to referee at this level.
That said, only scoring 1 at home to a piss poor side is on us. Very poor in game management from Revs, the substitutes were late and wrong. Bringing on Harvey Shite when we’re chasing the game is absolutely baffling, unless of course we were settling for a point.

Ref was poor, Boro were poor.
Loved the double sub in the 93rd minute. Inspiring stuff again.

That has to be the worst refereeing I have had the misfortune to witness in my life.
A blatant hand ball (The guys arm was above shoulder level) which both the linesman and referee decide to completely ingnore. And then Roberts get 'scissored' 25 yards out and the spineless official only shows a yellow card. He should not be allowed to ref at this level EVER again.

Kemp was also offside for his shot that hit the post too, as I was in the main stand directly in line with him, but the lino was 10 yards + behind play and their defender would have looked like he was in line at that wrong angle

That's why he spent the first 45 as a lowly 4th official. Then got to.play referee for the second half, very, very badly.

Where are you getting that from?
Not seen anywhere or anyone but you say that, and would very much have assumed the offy site or Revs during his interview would have referred to it?

I think it was actually Dean!!!
It was the info sent to us at the time. Afterwards it was explained that the ref was the same. It was actually the Lino that was replaced.

Cool, I don't need to amend any cells in my spreadsheet, and we can all agree that Greg Rollason is an utterly pathetic excuse of a referee.

Thanks for clarifying. Didn't think I'd imagined it.

The photo of their bloke being booked in the second half that the comet have used looks very much like Greg Rollason from a Google search who was listed as the ref. Suggesting no referee change at half time.
Edit: mind you, Ryan Atkin, who was listed as fourth official, also looks similar 🤣

Oh I dunno, I reckon 60 seconds is sufficient time for Young and Goode to turn the game around.

I don't understand how Rev's makes notes for 90 minutes, but fails to make changes early enough to influence the game. Hanlan was getting nothing out of their defence (Admittedly because their No. 23 was playing rugby I think?) The 2 changes struck of trying to hang on for the draw, I know we should have put the game to bed earlier, but come on man, give the subs a chance to grow into the game. 2 Strikers on the bench and we see neither? If he can get it right at Cambridge, why can't he get it right today?

Jake Young
Views: 643
Young needs a chance up front. Watching the shooting drills in the warm up and he's clearly the best finisher we have, and he's the only one who strikes the ball cleanly on a regular basis. He barely plays anymore and when he does it's out on the left wing. I don't understand why Revell persisted with Hanlan today who was clearly not having a great game and didn't give Young or Appere (or both of them) a chance. If I was Wallace I wouldn't particularly happy that a striker he supposedly paid 400k for isn't getting a look in over a loanee either

Also has a good connection footballing wise with Kemp, from when they played together (at Swindon?).

I’ve often wondered why Revs hasn’t made more of that, especially when our other forward options haven’t been firing on all cylinders.

Sadly he seems reluctant to play him in his proper position and just sticks him out on the left.
Obviously sees something we don't in training...
