Dino Maamria has lost his title.

Millwall keeper Liam Roberts kicking Mateta in the bonce has ruined Dino's legacy for the most reckless high challenge ever made in English association football.
And people say football has gone soft.

Maamria’s Southport tackle wasn’t high (once he landed), it was just barbaric.
The worst I saw of him was putting a bloke into our horrible metal fence, for no reason. He had ability, but he was a stupid violent idiot on the pitch

It wasn't even a foul. Not my words, the words of Michael Oliver.

Bit unfortunate the speed and angle did for him. No intent to injure the player IMO, just trying to get the ball first.
Dino's was horrible, pure red mist.

I think that the worst fowl was against Charlie Griffin at Wembley by Hulbert a Barrow player. If you haven't seen it, its disgusting.

That was an awful tackle, but Dino's was worse.

That incident is why to this day I still want Barrow to go bust.

What do you mean? Maamria's tackle was a run of the mill yellow card in the 1970s.
