BOGOF?
Didn't Harris leave them in the lurch as soon as Millwall came sniffing last time?

This must be costing them mega bucks including Monks payoff.

True and realise they get slightly better crowds than us but where is Dosh coming from, no Hollywood FC backer .Assume must have huge debts then

Rotherham

Perhaps an inevitable link - https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/rotherham-united-eyeing-paul-warne-managerial-reunion-after-derby-county-exit/
Would be a little ironic if Revs outlasts Evans though

Evans would simply get off the managerial merry-go-round at The Abbey, nice and close to home.

Or possibly Evans waits and thinks PW likely to invite him to return for next season ?

I'd take Evans back as a firefighter if we're in the position that Cambridge currently are. Not while comfortably in mid-table though.

But even if we finish mid table so might think can Revs push on next season , hence changing at end of season. Not saying Evans would guarantee this but could be part of PW's thinking.

Not a chance.
Edit: That PW cans Revs this summer to replace him with Evans, I mean, not the pushing on bit.

We were poor for the last 3 months under Evans last season.

I'm sure the current squad would get a huge morale boost from seeing Evans back...

No thanks. I think he's shown throughout his career that he has a limited shelf life, around two seasons, before falling off a cliff. With some of the same players still here, I can't see a reappointment being a success at all.

You may be right on your final.comment but still might happen especially if Revs and co are on rolling contracts so no compo to pay out

While we're safe in mid table, I'd be happy to stick with Revs, despite inconsistency frustrations.

Should think the Peterborough job will be coming available soon as well

Peterborough have history of appointing the same managers over and over as well
Edit: Wallace would never do something like that here...
