I was a steward at that game! I got to meet all the Everton players. Roberto Martinez was a really lovely bloke - I had to be his bodyguard on the way out to the coach.
Even though it was pouring & all the players were on the coach waiting to leave, Martinez made sure that every single waiting fan got his autograph. One girl took a selfie but it didn’t work so he went back & made sure she got a good one before leaving. A lovely man!
I also had to be a bodyguard for David James when he arrived! I’m 5ft 9!!!
