Good to win but still no interest in going.

Won’t be going to the next round or anything to do with this nonsense.

Cheers,

We should let Birmingham have all the tickets they want.

Give them to South, Main and JBT, but keep the Norf sacred for us.

Wasn't the boycott movement on the basis that allowing the u23 PL teams into the competition was the first move towards them infiltrating the League.

But it's been a few seasons now and been no chatter or sign of anything beyond what we currently have. And it's a competition that pays well, and gives a chance of a Wembley trip, so I don't see any point of boycotting.

Premier League B teams have no place in cup competitions anywhere in the football pyramid.

The National League Cup which was introduced at start of this season shows the overpaid morons at the FA still want to infiltrate cup competitions with these b teams.

The Carabao Cup will be next. Premier League managers already complaining about fixture congestion and replays. Wouldn’t be surprised if premier league 1st teams pull out completely soon and exclusively play their B teams.

The low crowds and lack of interest is a good reminder to the EFL that there is no appetite for PL academy sides in any EFL competitons.

Had the competition got decent crowds it would have arguably encouraged them to further and maybe revisit the fucking awful and ill concieved 'League 3' idea.

So the boycott/apathy is serving a purpose in my opinion.

And we are earning a few quid. EAW.

Since all the U23 sides are eliminated maybe it would send the best message to pack out all the games after that point and then back to boycotting the next season?

And the U21 sides do shit every year.

Whereas it is looking like half of the knockout stages of the Conference version of the competition are going to be made up of U21 sides. And there have been games with two-figure crowds in it too, with most being low three-figures. I suspect it will be a one and done affair for them.

Should bin off both comps and make a new one with the top however many conference clubs from the previous season replacing the academies.

But think in the new Conf version conf clubs could opt out at least but in ours you can't ? Not saying we should in fact for us working out ok for once in bringing back players from injury etc.
PS glad to eat humble pie and ser King still around

Yup, they could. And also yep, we cannot.

Our approach to the competition has been spot on the past few seasons. Used it to give players minutes, but also done quite well in it and made decent money (£95k in prizemoney so far this season).

All evening kick offs and I’m on tag with a curfew so don’t have much of a say.

Still don’t want to support the cup and am shocked they haven’t changed rules yet.

So won’t be there

Cheers,
