I've had a long hard think, and I've decided that being on course to finish comfortably mid table in League One is bad, actually.

Absolutely inexcusable league position.
By now we should be playing Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs in the Premier League.
Wallace out!
Ha bit the bait!

Boring is better than relegation.
We are putting in some good defensive performances and should take pride in that, as well as our league position.
We have something to build on, and I'm sure we'll strengthen in January.

Agreed boring is better than relegation, but boring will push the floating supporters who have shown an interest over the last two years away and our attendances will drop again..

We're basically the reverse Spurs and people probably wouldn't like it if we kept scoring and losing by the odd goal either.

Actually one good thing I like about RU is you have a drink in crowd and most fans ok and mingle .Shame there are some idiots at footy who can't be trusted.

Don't see many of these "idiots" at the Boro TBF. For sure we have some enthusiastic younger fans, who IMO are almost all very well behaved. (I'd be surprised if many of the older fans didn't go through the wannabe 'Top Boy' phase at some point!) Although I'm not really sure why I've just brought younger fans into this discussion, as it's primarily *older* folks who can't behave around booze.
And on rugby, never known a bunch who behave so badly around alcohol! I'm no fan.

Enjoyed the first half. Mostly in their half, good passing, attacking intent. Simpson was a handful. Reverted to a bit boring in second half but Lincoln were always going to come out better than the the first half performance.
Obviously still struggling to score but clean sheet and point away from home generally take that. Burton at home would be disappointed with anything other than a win.

To steal my post from X and pose the hypothetical question in this thread also...
Peterborough have scored 23 more goals than us this season. However, they have also conceded 26 more goals, are six points and six places below us in the table, and we have a game in hand on them.
Would you swap places with them?
It's a no for me.

I’d rather watch next door’s dog having a dump than Revellball. But it’s all about opinions and supply and demand. If people are happy to part with their hard-earned to watch that week in week out then fair enough. For all I know Wallace might love watching it. Perhaps he’s not even bothered that attendances are dwindling. There will always be a hardcore who aren’t bothered about entertainment. Trouble is when the hardcore is only 2,000 fans and the floating fans have gone because they are bored shitless then finances will suffer.

Our attendances are the second-highest they have ever been in our history.
Edit: Which isn't to say they couldn't be better, and wouldn't be if we were scoring more, of course.

Ummmm...people have very short memories.
What was wrong with that win against Bristol Rovers?
I witnessed many, many happy, smiling fans!
A couple of 0-0 bore draws away doesn't paint the complete picture.

Would prefer us to score a few more, but equally would much prefer this than getting pasted every other week as we have endured across a number of seasons recently, something we ought not forget.

Goal scoring is a problem. Has been for ages now.
It will end up costing Revell his job and his reputation if he cant solve it because the fanbase will turn. Especially if we cant improve our goal return at home.
That said 0-0 away from home is almost always a good result. I'm more than happy with the point. I'd have preferred a 2-2 maybe but i shall not be complaining.

It's a fair point. Chances were there today. But outside the chances, Reid had an opportunity to get a shot away, List the other side doesn't attack the box one on one to get a shot away. Must be very very frustrating for a coach to watch these opportunities literally go begging. I'm not sure what you do to coach two players to actually go on and have a shot.

Made the same comment to my son during the game - we don’t shoot enough! So many times there’s an opportunity to have a go and we look for an extra or safe pass.

Quite, except I would actually prefer a 0-0 to a 2-2 as I am loving our record setting clean sheets records.
13 clean sheets in 23 games (Cooper has 13 from 20 games and had conceded just 11 times), it's brilliantly nuts.

I definitely agree! I wonder what the record in League One is because we surely have a chance of beating that this year. If we continue our current record we'd end up with 26-27 clean sheets!

Three goalless draws away on the spin now. Four consecutive away clean sheets including Burton in the FLT.
Drawn 0-0 in 27% of away league games under Revs across both spells.

And to answer the OP: one of the human brain's coping mechanisms is to "blank" traumatic memories. Maybe this has affected your assessment?!

It was much better than Northampton, but then so are most things this side of self harming.
We have a superb defence, and I can't help thinking that with a little bit more nous, and fewer square pegs in round holes, we would be in the top six now.
