Unrelated.
Scrapping replays, especially before R3 when the dickhead clubs kicking off about it don't even play, is bullshit, but let us not pretend this is related. They would have done the same even with replays.

Agree and did not we hike the prices for Newcastle, Spurs and Everton games.

Added 5 or 10 quid yes, but normal seating prices for Tamworth are £20 adults and £4 under 10s. So they've more than doubled the adult price and the u10s are 7 times the normal price.
Had they been raised to say £30 and £10 no one would have complained that much.
Still, if the demand is there they can charge what they want, it's up to them.

That reminds me, I couldn't get a ticket for the first Newcastle game. Granted, I wasn't a ST holder at the time to get priority ticket. Having attended nearly all our matches at home and many away that season I was so disappointed not to be there.
Most of our crowd for that match were not regulars but "glory hunters" who in effect pushed me out.
This is my slant on it, vouchers for regular supporters for each match attended. This entitles them to priority tickets, at normal prices, inflated prices for the glory hunters.
That to me seems a better way of doing it instead of punishing the regulars.

That’s the point of buying a season ticket or SA membership.

Difficult to administer but not impossible with e-tickets.
Charge a membership fee of say £40 and reduce members tickets for all games, league and cup by £2 so it's cost neutral over 20 games and saves you money beyond that. Thus encouraging regular attendance.
Charge non members the full price.
Also enables you to open sales for high demand cup games to members a couple of days early.
Just another version of the SA quid off a ticket from a dwcade or more ago, or the early bird/pay on the day price differential we used to operate from an admin perspective for 2-3 seasons when we first went electronic, which we binned presumably because it wasn't generating a cash benefit to the business.

Re the glory hunters do remember them and old grannies etc queuing up for ticks etc. This happens at all smaller clubs But at least we got dosh out of them and a few of them might have got the bug rather than sitting on their arses watching Premier L at home .

Supporters association members had priority before joe public and generally had no issues getting tickets for both home and away games. I know we were right before the end just as they sold out for the away game so some may have missed out for that, but they did do priority levels
