Revell out and Des Buckingham in. Can Wallace afford to wait until crowds dwindle to 2,500? The entertainment on offer is zilch

In terms of league position and results I'd say we're around where a lot of us expected to be.
My issue is, and always has been under Revs, that we don't have any kind of clear identity or style of play. We're just sending eleven bodies out on to the pitch and seeing what they can make happen.
Let's take Tottenham as a comparison. Their results are very much up and down like ours but the manager has a firm belief in his system and you can see it being implemented by the players come hell or high water. The players do what they are being told to and the manager fronts up when that doesn't work. They're not doing as well as their fans would like but there is something there for the fans to buy into if they want to at least. We're missing that.

Bang on. Revs has all the charisma in the world and talks a good game but he and the team have no edge whatsoever, and more importantly no clear way of playing like you say

Agreed, nice guy sure, but charisma is pushing it!
Can't help think you'd switch off if you were a player in his dressing room.

After a win or a creditable draw I hear Revs speak and I think what a guy, he gets it.
After a loss I don't.

Whenever I hear him talk I think he comes across a really nice fella, but he doesn’t inspire me in the slightest… my fear is he is not inspiring or motivating his players either.

I think we’ve seen some better examples of attacking shape and some better passing with purpose recently, but it amused me when I read an interview with Revs in a coaching website a few weeks ago - where he said his main footballing philosophy is to attack and score goals. Possibly this is just him adopting the sort of positive yet deluded attitude most of you lot do on your way out on a Friday night?

Us having our second-lowest goals return ever, and failing to score in 9 of our 20 matches thus far proves his philosophy to be correct, it is all about the goals and entertainment.

Two howlers for goals, but that really wasn't the issue. We had no shape and no strategy. I hate being negative because I love this club and everything it stands for but we are delusional if we think that the current leadership is going to deliver anything but lower mid table mediocrity with a squad that (IMHO) is capable of much much more

I see it the same as you Caz. Wycombe were (sadly) excellent. Attacked with pace, strength and numbers. Got back into their defensive shape in the same way. Top-drawer decision-making on when to play a risky slider, or when to play simple/direct. Our errors didn't help. Accept the beating and move on to the run of games against teams of similar standing. Let's cheer the lads and see how we do.
[FWIW the second goal came at the worst possible time and killed the game for us. Thought we actually came out strongly for first 10 minutes of second half, playing some lovely stuff. But Wycombe always had another gear.]

But this is the inherent issue though. Wycombe _are_ loads better than us, but I can’t believe that our players are all as bad as the team looked yesterday (with the exception of 30, he had an awful game). It’s rather harking back to previous eras of the club, but attitude is more important than ability, showing that the current management of the players isn’t there.

Wycombe are a similar sized club to us. We should be learning lessons on how they're achieving promotion to the Championship and creating a better team than us even after relegation.

I can forgive us losing to a much better team but to lose without any fight is a kick in the teeth to everyone at our club. A local derby, that meant so much to us all, was lost in a whimper. No bite, no pride in our club and no respect for our manager.
They had better buck up their ideas or they will lose the manager they respect and more fans will lose interest.

We've beaten some top sides at home this season. We most absolutely have attitude and ability.
Wycombe played with confidence and took advantage of an inexperienced midfield of White and Phillips. Throw in a rare mistake from Pidge and an out of sorts Taye and it was a disaster from the start
Fortunately we have Louis, JFC, King all to return. I'd also like to see more of Nick Freeman too.

Very poor, not just to his standards but at this level. He was probably as distraught as we all were after that match.
Here's the BUT, he has been a rock in our defence since he came to our club....one swallow doesn't make a summer.

My thoughts on Pidge are that he's very similar to Mark Roberts was in his strengths and weaknesses.

Agreed on those coming back… I can’t wait to see JFC back in the team but am concerned that Revs doesn’t have the ruthlessness to drop white for him..

There's some truth in that H Bomb. One thing I'd say is Wycombe were nowhere near that good last season. That level of organisation and attitude (usually) takes *time* to develop. Clubs who want to progress are placing bets on whether their management can take them towards where Wycombe find themselves. So the imponderables: how much time does Revs need? Will he get that time? Can he ever get us there? We've all got different views on that!

They finished very strong last season.
I don’t think anyone banked on Kone becoming the best striker in the league, and signing Onyedinma to play with him is a ridiculous bit of business.
They are solid, organised and play the dark arts well.
They’ll come 2nd comfortably, Wrexham won’t keep up this string of lucky wins.
Oh and guess what…. When they were playing shit last season they stuck with their young manager :)

I did notice evrytime we more than gently touched one of their players they hit the ground and their other players surrounded the Ref demanding a card be shown.
Not that it mattered. We were poor, very poor.
