Worth pointing out that yesterday was the first time we have won this season, in any competition, when we have conceded a goal.
So not only did we put in a good performance and get a deserved win against a good side, we showed we can actually bounce back in a game too.

One of the comments on Challinor’s interview from (presumably) a Stockport fan said “Stevenage to be honest are a good team and it’s about time other teams realised it, instead of thinking they are a walkover.”
That’ll do me :))

It was a good performance. As you say Stockport are a good side. Apart from Wootton throwing himself to the floor and faking serious injury at every opportunity they looked a real threat. A great save from Coops first half stopped their early momentum.
In the second half we were a different team. We had the measure of them and took the opportunity.
Well done Boro
Nathan MOTM for me.

Our centre back options are scarily good. Is Thompson our 4th choice centre back? Because him and his brother are two of the best players i've ever seen play for us.

Spindly legs, yet he had holes cut in the backs of his socks like the Premiership players have.
Absolute f*cking melt!

…. with the knowledge that we are a very very number of teams that he hasn’t scored against this season.

I'd have started Aboh instead of Roberts or List after his midweek performance. I assume Phillips isn't fully fit otherwise I'd start him too instead of White.

That was short-lived. But we scored so we can score again. The goals are now flowing.

Three wins on the spin in all comps, scoring eight goals in the process.
Four unbeaten in the league, with consecutive wins.
And playing well. I have been happy with our performances for a few games now, we look far better in quality and are creating chances and scoring again.
Lovely stuff.

Really good win today. I didn't see any of today, but by all accounts it was a big improvement on recent league games.

1. What a stupid penalty to give away. I'd be fining him for that.
2. White and Louis were overrun and outmuscled first half, with Roberts and Kemp offering no help to midfield. Stockport were really good to watch first half, ran the midfield and never gave Pidge a moments peace.
3. Roberts first half wound me up. When he got his booking I thought 'great he'll be even worse now'... like he always is after a booking, and lo and behold he was excellent second half, chasing back and looking interested even when we didn't have the ball.
4. Dan Phillips is fucking brilliant at this.level.
We even created an atmosphere for the last 15.minutes.

Point 1 - I think it was actually very clever of Robbo to get in front of the defender.

Oh it was, but he'd been getting in front of defenders and going down easily all game, if.not all his career, and any defender should knows not to touch someone running away from goal and presenting zero imminent threat.

Today he was good for 45 minutes, very good. That'll do but let's not go overboard. Flatters to decieve far too often.
Pidge had a torrid time V Wootton and did really well to nullify his threat. He'll have enjoyed that battle. Over 90 minutes i'd probably give it to Pidge.

Although Pidge is immense and often gets us out of trouble, its also often him to gets us in it in the first place.

Yeah, to be fair I get bored giving MoM to Pidge! Man is exceptional. Can't think of the right words to describe his impact on the club

Roberts MKII in every way on and off the pitch.
I got a nice wave across the stand from Mummy Pidge as I was walking up the steps to my seat today, reminded me of when I used to get a big hug from Mummy and Nanny Roberts at every game. Great players, great leaders, great people, lovely families.

He's a great captain, but he isn't (as nice as) Mark Roberts. Struts around with his chest out looking for a fight a bit too much for me.

So you hate Revs and you hate Pidge?
Is that why you refuse to attend any games any more? So sad to see, I remember when you would do Plymouth away on a Tuesday night.

First half starting well until we scored, then fragile and probably lucky to go in level. Second half better as the game went on and deserved winners, albeit an absolute gift of a penalty from them.
We need to get the hang of playing with the confidence we have when ahead at 0-0 or a goal down.
