Who would have ever thought…
Views: 851
… that there’d be FOUR scorers, and that those scorers would include Freestone, Simpson (I’m sure somebody must be winding me up!), Aboh and White?! Nobody saw that coming. Nobody.
I’m told Simpson’s was a good goal too. Maybe I’ll adjust my opinion of him once I see it. Good for his confidence I imagine.

White has scored four times for us (in just 42 appearances) so not sure why that would be surprising.
Simpson also has two goals in four games in the competition.

It’s not so much that White scored, but the fact we scored four times and in that combination of names. When we score at all, it is so rarely them, that you would never have put money on such a combination. As for Simpson, he has always drawn disinterest or ire from me, so I’ll give him the credit for scoring that one. It being only the second goal from him this season, I don’t think it’s a record to celebrate, but the fact that he scored at all certainly is.

"Pointless competition."
"Burton didn't care and were shit."
Just a few of the comments you will receive.
Such a shame Crawley bottled it at the weekend as I am very confident we would have beaten them, and been on a nice little consecutive league wins run.

He's been in the stand the whole game. I think we should try that more often. Scored 6 goals in 3 halves that he's not been on the touchline.

Lovely finish. Proper toe punt. If the ball is there to be hit, hit it. Roberts for example would've fucked about with it because it wasn't perfectly in position. See a gap hit the ball. Simple.

Both sides made a lot of changes but we've been dominant. Should give the players some confidence but hopefully not overestimate it, as Saturday will be a lot harder. Always good to win games.

Yep, good solid performance against limited opponents tonight. Weekend is a great game, looking forward to it. Shame about Young getting injured, 'cos I'd have liked to see the forward line with Reid and List again.

Wildin is so good. I actually love him at cb, so assured and gives us pace there. Just a shame options at fullback are so limited.
It's just a much better tempo all round without Pidge at the back.
