Crawley v Boro stormy prediction?
The caused by climate change Storm Darragh is going to hit hard tomorrow. 60mph winds forecasted at 15:00. So I’m going for a 1-0 Boro win.

The one near the ground is decent, football on TV and loads of pool tables
At least it was last time I was there

Last time I went they had a big burger van outside too for food that you could take in the pub.

For future reference, rather than going to that shitty pub, head to Crawley Old Town, which is actually nice.
Very much like how most away fans coming to us used to go to the shit pubs in the new town where I believe the bus station now is, rather than going to the old town, that is actually quite pleasant.

Away fans do sill go to the one remaining shit pub in the town centre, spoke to some Charlton fans at the station when we played them who were trying to work out the quickest way to get to it.
Seems mental when the old town really isn't that far from the station

Ah. I assumed that whole section had been shut down, not just the Wetherspoons but with the OPO still operating.

The Wetherspoons has closed down? I thought that Stevenage town centre would be a prime location!

You can say what you like about Wetherspoons but at least they treat their staff well, always have clean toilets and the food is always fresh out of the microwave.

I have my meal favourited on the app.
Sausage and mash with pepsi max cherry, followed by a mini warm cookie dough sandwich. All for about £10.
It's marvellous.

And their prices are straight out of the 1950s. I half expect their stuff to be priced in shillings.

True but they then have a longer walk to get to ground afterwards, perhaps that's in their thinking.Wont happen but would be nice if the shuttle bus started again , perhaps picking up in old town, train station and then to ground.

Is this because you’re thinking that we will accidentally score when another tame side pass gets unexpectedly whipped up on the wind and carried down the pitch where is surprisingly and freakishly deposited in the opposition goal? Because I’m not at all sure any actual skill or management expertise will be the cause of the goal scored.

It's the result that matters not how we got there
Edit: and it's was only the stand that was wrong, didn't realise they had a temporary stand 😂

Don’t laugh. My first ever football match was Tottenham v Liverpool, 12 March 1980. My beloved (at the time) Liverpool were beaten 2-0. The most memorable part of the match was when a huge tranche of corrugated roof blew off the top of the main stand and came down variously on the pitch and the road outside. As soon as they’d cleared it off, the match (correctly) continued. They’d declare some sort of emergency these days.
