We will probably tweak the squad after Christmas.
Who is likely to be loaned, sold or gifted to free up some wages and make way for some fresh blood if they don't have a sudden uptick in form?
(And don't say Revs, way too predictable)

2 wingers would be nice to give us width and a threat. And Revs finally going 3-5-2

Hmm, not sure we'd sign two wingers, and then use a formation that didn't require any! Agree 100 % that a pacy, direct wide attacker should be our priority. (I'm sure we hoped Harry Anderson would provide this.)

List and Roberts are there to provide pace in attack down the flanks, or at least either side of the main striker.
They don't very often achieve it, but that's what we are trying to do with a front three.

Perhaps they don’t achieve it because of the tactics and instructions they are given by the Management team? I think both are more than capable and better than their recent performances.

Yeah, that seems to be our preferred front three at the moment - with Reid at CF. If that remains the case, I still think we could do with a more productive wide player.
Looking back to the summer, I reckon that Plan A would have been to play Appere at CF, with Reid and Roberts utilised as wide forwards. Alternative would have been Reid/Appere in front two. I reckon Appere's (mysterious?) condition threw out plans into flux. Was Young's signing opportunistic, or a rushed move based on LA's diagnosis?
Anyway, based on who I believe to be available at present, I'd like to see us try Young at CF, with Reid and List/Roberts as wide forwards. If we can kick-start Young's season, I think this offers our greatest goal threat.

I asked him about this off mic after reading your post. Revs quite categorically denied that this was the case. He had an op on something leg related that I can't remember but was absolutely NOT a heart issue.

Clearly nothing to do with heart from that.

What I reckon will happen:
Out:
B.Thompson perm transfer
Press loan/sold
Aboh and king recalled
Smith perm
In
Some sort of playmaking dm
Smith or evans recalled and used for the second half of the season
Some loan attacker who can play out-wide and central
A versatile full back on loan

- GK - Hopefully Cooper won't be recalled which means that there's no need to extend Bouzanis's loan
- Aboh (Probably to be recalled due to lack of game time)
- King (Happy for him to stay but could be recalled)
- Pressley
- Simpson
- Permanent transfer for Ben Thompson if possible (already out on loan)

Any one of our attacking or creative players (yeah I can't name any either) is y risk of being shipped out.
Trouble is we will replace them with something probably worse.

I think a couple will be gone, notably Pressley if we can shift him. He's out of contract in the summer and you'd think it'll be a loan as clubs won't want to buy if he's only got 6 months left. I can't see Aboh staying, and I don't imagine Norwich are too pleased with his lack of playing time. I think Simpson will stay (rightly or wrongly), as he does offer something different to our other strikers.
As to who we may try and get in, it surely, surely has to be an out-and-out winger. We can't keep persisting with playing strikers and Roberts/Kemp on the wing as it really painfully obviously doesn't work.

He does, though not in a good way. I imagine he must run through brick walls in training to get in the squad.
He certainly couldn't jump over them...

I would add pergiaininani. to the out list.
he is constantly fouling (other players, not himself)
he has zero creative vision
His demeanour is replicated in the team.
he was much better two seasons back. like roberts
all this crap revell was spouting prior to the last match about our great run of form was delusional. If we play against teams that are drilled and have competent players then we will get nowhere

Two new strikers?
I mean, the raft of forwards we brought in last summer have done little – doesn't bode well for any potential signings.
