Reidy
Views: 1257
Something that really irked me at the end of normal time yesterday was Reidy’s reaction to the boos from the ET. Which was to throw his arms up in the air 🤷♂️ to suggest “what are we meant to do” fashion.
As a collective it wasn’t good enough. The 90 mins against a team 4 leagues below us let alone after the 120 mins.
For a player to react like they did is embarrassing, especially a player who has been by his standards not great so far this season.
Without the fans these players are not getting their excessive salaries. Fans have paid their hard earned money to watch yesterday’s shambles and the reaction to some mere booing was just embarrassing from an experienced professional player.

Better than being indifferent to crowd reaction.
Also booing your own team is a bit premier league. We’re better than that.

You say by his standards other than Torquay and the last 2 seasons with us Jamie Reid has a pretty poor return as a striker, Steve Evans had something that got the best out of him which it seems many other clubs/managers haven't.
I feel like he's not going to hit 15 + goals this season and the best we may see is him reach double digits.
The big issue is Simpson is awful, Pressley don't look like you'll get more than 3/4 goals a season out of him and Aboh was wasted Loan, So we've got Young left to rely on scoring.

If you look at his career, he's only had 1 good season. He's never been prolific other than that.

He's got to believe he'll have another one.

How do you know it was a reaction to the boos?
They're also probably not on excessive salaries.

Even £50k a year to play football, of which many of ours will be on more, could be seen to be excessive compared to other jobs

£50,000 a year, playing to early/mid thirties if they are lucky and probably not earning that much all the time and one injury away from your career ending
Or earning an average salary for the rest of your life, swings and roundabouts I guess

I doubt many League One footballers are only on 50k a year.

Yea I'd imagine everyone of ours is on £65k + and I'm thinking of squad players there.

You also don't get people coming to your work and screaming at you that you're fucking shit, unless you're in retail or hospitality.

It would definitely make Teams calls more exciting if people shouted 'you're shit, aaaaaah' when someone picks up a mistake in something

"How did you not see that, you useless bald c**t?" being screamed at the manager for letting something through on a presentation that wasn't picked up.
Smokebombs going off in the meeting room.
LARKS.
