Murphy Cooper

the money we make out of the f.a cup ( we may need a couple more rounds )
should be used for a bid on Murphy Cooper + he will still see his old mates from Q.P.R next season.
as for yesturday,s performance if it was not for his saves, a few people would have out the door.

How short people's memories are.
Poor Taye.

I was thrilled, and surprised, when we were able to sign Taye permanently, but on current form Murophy is the best keeper at the club. Why he was dropped is another Rev mystery.

Cooper has been part of a solid defence for a short period. Taye was part of a solid defence for the best part of two seasons. And he’s a better goalkeeper.

I wouldn't say Taye is necessarily better, but nor would I say Cooper is.
Many people seem to have forgotten how amazing Taye has been for us for two years, keeping a clean sheet every other game, or near enough, in both L2 and L1 during a whole season, and pulling off some top saves.
Coming into a defensive unit on its knees is not a fair way to judge Taye, if comparing to Cooper keeping loads of clean sheets with a full set of defenders. And remember Taye's penalty saves against Port Vale in the FA Cup shootout last year too, on the back of the weekend just gone.
We are lucky to have both, both are of a very similar standard, but Taye is actually ours.

I don't disagree with any of this, but Cooper was the man in possession and did not deserve to be dropped.

I was as surprised as the next man, and laydee.
Although I was informed that QPR are considering recalling him in January, which may have played a part in the decision.

I think there was an Evans-factor in his recall at Rotherham and the previous game Murphy didn't have much to do but he kept playing Pidge on his right foot which wasnt ideal and his distribution wasnt what it previously was.
I see why he did it

I did also have the same thought about the Rotherham game and the manager being a factor.
And wasn't surprised to see Cooper back in at the weekend after Revs openly saying Taye was at fault for Bolton's fourth.

Agree feel bit sorry forTAH as really needs games after injury to get form back but we can't afford that luxury.
