Pubs

Hi all,
Wondering if you could help me, I am coming down to watch the Leyton orient game with a few pals. They are very excited to see my name on the investors plaque situated above the sauce station in the north stand.
My question is, are there any decent pubs near the stadium/in Stevenage we could go to after the game? Have normally headed home to Hertford for beers after the game but looking for somewhere nearby.
3 blokes in their 20’s (pub has to serve Guiness)
Cheers all

I've been going to the old red lion recently slightly longer walk to the ground than pear tree/Mutual but nice old pub. It is a chain though so got that chain pub vibe which I'm not that keen on. As already said old town is best for a drink though if you don't mind going a bit further.

Used to have an offy attached to it. Used to buy our beer from there as 16 year olds.

I suspect most of the new town estate pubs did. I was often in the Gamekeeper offy returning bottles for the deposit (and getting me mum’s 20 Kensitas tipped!)

Safest bet is to head to the Old Town after if you're staying for a while and don't mind jumping in a taxi/want somewhere with some life
