Didn’t see the game so whose performance shone?
Stags net suggests our midfield was mustard 1st half in particular Phillips and defence 2nd half?

There were a number of outstanding performances today. My MOM was Phillips, but Jake Young was exceptional along with Pidge, Luther, Smiffy and Murph. Considering how many defenders are injured our tally of clean sheets is extraordinary. Convinced this is the best squad we've ever had. Lewis Freestone's right foot remains a major issue though. I don't think you can be that one-footed and play at this level

Agree with all of that . Dan Philips was just sensational. He wins so many 50/50 or 40/60 balls and his so calm in possession, and a great passer . He’s been consistently good . Great addition along with Young and King .

Glad Phillips is doing well. In pre season I thought he was going to be a guaranteed starter, then he had a bit of a slow start and a bit anonymous at times, but the last few games he has been excellent and living up to the hype.

I remember someone very intelligent asking the question of BoroPod in preseason "who's going to be the fans favourite POTS and why will it be Dan Philips"
People should listen to what that guy says. Clearly knows his stuff.

I thought Phillips had a good game, but I thought Kane slightly beat him, good defensive and good going forward

Cooper's also barely put a foot (or glove) wrong since coming in. Keeping Taye out of the team on merit at the moment.

Noticed that Jake Cassidy scored in the Northern Counties East Premier (four divisions below Conference) today. When Revs first took over we were relying on his goals to keep us in the Football League. Quite a change in fortunes.

Brilliant on the wireless.
I hate that club so much. So bitter and abusive to my then teenage daughter when we won there a good while back.

Brilliant commentary, very tense especially towards the end when Steve and Dean were counting down the seconds, never mind the minutes. Glued to my wireless set heart pounding!

Same, absolutely despise them. Definitely in the top 10 of clubs I want to beat.
Looked like it was all kicking off outside the station as we drove past so hopefully none of our 'proper' fans were caught up in it.

Cracking strike. Very excited about his prospects, looks a class act.
Also liking the Wildin, Smith combo on the right of our defence.
So far a brilliant away performance...

Rode our luck at times in that second half and probably made the changes for Roberts and Reid a bit late, as both were dead on their feet, but a great away performance. Played some decent football at times as well.

That makes far less sense to me.
A right-footed LB, with two left-footed CBs (and Pidge looks very awkward on the right side). Revs also seems to favour Freestone at LB since he signed.

Re: Match Thread

Neither option is completely convincing but playing one player out of position (aside from this season Freestone has been primarily a CB) makes more sense than playing two out of position.
Luther as a CB in a two scares me.

Confirmed it is what I suspected it would be above. Freestone at LB, Luther at CB.

Luther has played CB a few times, mostly on the FL Trophy.
