Trending on Twitter for all the wrong reasons with Hartlepool

Just lost 3-1 to Brackley Town, the torches and pitchforks are out in numbers.

They forgot to thank him and wish him well.

So not acrimonious at all then.

As you'd expect.

Ha, that went well for them then after sacking Kevin Phillips (who was doing a decent job) to "go in a different direction". That different direction being downwards. Kevin Phillips has just been announced manager at Fylde.

I spoke to him the day his appointment was announced too, as he was stood beside me with his lad at Biggleswade Town (supporting Jimmy Martin, their assistant manager at the time, now manager, after they worked together at our Academy) watching them clinch the title on the final day of last season - straight after we beat Cheltenham.

As mentioned before imo shame Phillips never played for us. Who knows what future is ahead though and he may be here as manager at some point

Me and my dad were at a Baldoxk home game years ago (against Weymouth I think). Fairclough was stood behind us and we asked him if he was there to watch Phillips and he nodded. Given the career he had still have no idea why we didn’t snap him up!!

But got Barry Hayles in not to mention others. It's all swings and roundabouts.

Good luck to Lennie Lawrence. I hope he manages to stay awake in the dug out.
