Well this was Simpson’s chance to show what he has got and that misskick with an open goal has just shown it

Thought the defender might have interfered as he was right their as Simpson swung, he'd have probably scored the second attempt but Aboh took it off him.

Surprised we are risking Pidge in this given how light on the ground we are defensively at present.

Haven't got any other CBs to play have we? Plus they have about 10 days to recover.

Playing better than Posh, but missing simple chances. Posh scored from one attempt on goal

Same as Saturday, which is a worry. Once you can say not our day but if we keep doing the same then what's the point in playing nice passing football that creates loads of chances if none of them can be put away.
Playing well and losing is not a sign of champions.

We have had chance after chance and fluffed them all (getting seriously fed up of Simpson now, the guy offers absolutely fuck all), and they have had two chances and scored twice.
Freeman also looks seriously slow and so off the pace this season. No wonder he rarely plays. I really liked him last year.
Defensively we look a shambles today. Young and Butler both caught flat footed on the back post for their opener and a four on two attack for their second. Awful.

Their second goal was class.
We gambled on our high press, and they beat the press with 3 very quick accurate short passes.
Sometimes it pays off, sometimes you get caught out.
Their first was awful defending by us though.

It was actually Simpson ( I think) failing to get off the ground and providing an assist with a skimming header.
He is every bit as bad as I feared. This is one embarrassing scoreline.

Torrential rain. Ball not bouncing or running so the ref has taken both sides off for five mins.

It really was his decision that matters, not the ref, who repeatedly dropped the ball, saw that it didn't bounce and that it isn't safe. Can we just give them the points? Lets just get through this without injury.

Assume Revs wants to get on with it as well... otherwise he'd have sent Cuthbert to do the same.

Revs and Cuthbert were pissed off.
Very much so about the time it was taking, also it seemed they didn't believe it should have resumed (had it not been 2-0 it 100% wouldn't have).
