Revs Mk2

Bloody hell.
Didn't expect 6 points from these last 2 games. Very happy.
Any stats for Revs Mk2 vs Revs Mk1? I know it's a very different squad, but would be interested to compare then vs now.

Well for starters he has a 45% win rate in League One, and we have won six of the seven home matches he has taken charge of since returning, keeping a clean sheet in five of them (despite missing half our defence).

He was like this with Evans till he went, now it's all how Revs is wonderful. He'll be like it with the next one too, the flirt

I was like it with Evans until he started to just tediously whine on and on and on about the officials after every game, blaming them when they did nothing wrong, and when he dropped into his classic tail-end of year two losing the dressing room and acting like a dick.
I have never wanted anybody to succeed more than I do Revs. Look at the photos of him with the Thompsons at FT, sums him and his relationship witb the players up perfectly. He is a gem, and he has a genuine love of our club, he isn't just any old manager here for the money/to give their CV a boost before jumping ship at the first opportunity. The lack of respect he has received at the start of this season from some quarters has been disgusting considering what he has given this club, and what it means to him.

:-)
I am jesting of course and would far rather a positive outlook than the constant negative ones we get.
I am also glad Revell appears to be much improved on last time, and seems to have the in-game management now to see games out when necessary

In Revs' post-match interview, I detected some implied criticism of the former management in some of his points on his own style. Maybe I'm reading too much into it.

I detected, towards the end, some real emotion coming through.
As Chuds says, he loves this club, as we all do.
Quite rare when you consider some of the managers we've had.

Odds are that he will get the boot. Most within 14 months.
Don't get too attached. Us fans will force Phil to kick him out before August. Because we are ungrateful reactionary twats.
Less than 6% of managers go at a time of their own choosing, either to retire or move for a better job.
Full of the joys of Spring me...

I may have inadvertently given the impression that my mind was made up about Revs and that I was just waiting for it to inevitably collapse again as his popularity with the squad gave way to the sheer weight of tactical and game management ineptitude.
This was in no way my intention and I actually have never lacked faith in the Revsolution, even for one moment.

I remember when we put 4 past Cambridge and creamed our collective pants.
It was a good win last night.
Don't get too high when we win or too low when we don't. That way does not happiness lead.

You are right of course, however, when you watch rubbish like Wigan away, this is like a breath of fresh air. When we win as per last night and as we did against Charlton it lifts the spirit. As you say, it is a certainty that we will see trash again but I like to Revell in the good times as it doesn't happen that often.

100%
I saw a lot of games home and away from 09-19, now I see half a dozen live if I'm lucky.
I saw a lot of shit. No point persevering with hat if you can't enjoy the good results.
But it's perhaps tempting fate to suggest it's something special just yet. We all hope it is, but I won't say it yet.

I’ll be honest, I didn’t want him as Manager again, like many of us I thought it was a backward step and the cheap option… as a result I also felt there was an apathy amongst the majority of the fanbase early in the season given some of our performances and the lack of goals.. that said I have been really impressed with the last few results and performances and am very happy that Revs is starting to make a real positive impression on the team, credit to him… it’s still early days of course but the signs are really good at the moment and I am enjoying the humble pie…
