So the club say on Twitter.
Really? For a Tuesday night match that’s on telly. Do Wr$xham suddenly have that many travelling fans?

I've not got a ticket (yet) and was just looking on the website to see how many are left....

... It put me in a Ticketmaster -style "queue" to get onto the website. Never seen anything like it.

Hope we don't start dynamic pricing!

Maybe Wrexham and the publicity around them is actually good for the EFL and driving interest? Expect there will be lots of younger fans, hopefully Boro will put in a good performance and they'll come back.

Or... just a load of Americans coming over because we're not too far from Heathrow.

Surely no-one flies around the world to watch Wtexham?!

Having said that, they were away at Leyton Orient on Saturday, so could have taken in 2 games if having a few days in London

It will do.

The club will always use the highest available figure to generate an urgency in demand and push people to purchase in advance.

Simple marketing strategy, like the "only 2 left at this price" warnings used by Ryanair and booking.com.

Bit if they bring 800 (and we issue substantially over 4,200) on a Tuesday, that's a good turnout, no doubt buoyed by the great result V Charlton as much as the celebrity, and new ground for their groundhoppers, factor.

I guess the question is, why wouldn't it include them?

Those tickets are 'sold', regardless of whether as a season ticket, matchday ticket, given out free to the players wives or the local MP. They are tickets that are not available, so it's an indication of how many are remaining to buy.

Must admit with all the other football on TV tonight including Arsenal and the weather I'm surprised

I'm not criticising it as a PR method/message.

It shouts "success" which is great.

As you say, with CL games on, a TV coverage option on Sky and rain I'm.pleasantly surprised too.

Only had 25 attendances over 5k at home in a league fixture in our history, with 14 of them coming in the past two seasons.

We have definitely grown very nicely as a fanbase in recent times, although it is to be seen how badly they drop oft again when things start to go badly. Hopefully won't be for some time though.
