Well done Alex for getting the subs spot on today.
First half we seemed to lack threat other than set pieces but to be fair, he switched the strike force and instantly they made a great impact. Very happy for Roberts he deserved that goal and a great assist from BGR as well!

No because his name isn't in the title as the letter I is not in the title.

Absolutely. As each sub was announced, and even on the precise minutes he did them, I was not only very happy but felt I had an insight into Revs’ tactical nous and in-game management. I’m a little surprised to say that he’s now giving me the impression that he’s pretty good at it, when in all honesty there’s been times when I had my doubts.

He has a game plan for Butler Tues. I asked him what the conversation was between Scott and Luther and Nathan was after 20-25 yesterday because whatever it was changed the flow of the game for the rest of the first half.
Having spent some time listening to him lately. He knows what he is doing.

Lovely stuff. I have confidence for Tuesday. I was impressed with Revs decisions on Sat.

Up to a point. There are a few baffling stats that need addressing – for example, why do we seem to start so slowly?
In the end this was a good performance, but the game has half an hour old before we actually got into their penalty area.
This is a recurring issue, since we've yet to score a single first half goal in 8 League games this season.
The subs all contributed to a much better second half, but if Simpson hadn't started we'd have needed one fewer.

Who would you have started instead of Simpson, seeing as Reid needed a rest after playing a lot of minutes with no pre-season, Young wasn't ready to start, and all our other attacking options were injured or started?
Reid will start instead of Simpson on Tuesday.

Difficult to know how many minutes Reid and Young could have managed, but maybe you are better informed than me.
I guess the options if you are correct would have been to give them half a game each and/or used Aboh at some point.
Simpson just doesn't look remotely like a League One footballer to me.

Forgot about Aboh, although not sure he would have offered much more than Simpson to be honest.
We got the three points and Reid should be good to go from the start on Tuesday, it's all good.

You may well be right. It's opinions, after all. I find Simpson's inability to leave the ground when allegedly jumping particularly frustrating and he has a crap first touch, but he was a prolific scorer for Swindon as a teenager so there must be a footballer in there somewhere. Talking of Swindon, I think the management team should watch the Young/Kemp goals video most days.

So has he over bulked? Lost his ability because he's got.too big?
Always thought maybe Agyemang was so unathletic and basically nailed to the floor because he spent too much time on the weights.

Is Appere injured or just been bumped down the pecking order? I thought he looked handy in the couple of sub appearances he's had.

There's no doubt that it's true when he says he's learnt since last time. He's still adapting to being the gaffer once again, and doesn't yet get it right every time.

I know Revs is managing fitness, particularly in Reidy's case... but surely we start that second half team against Wrexham??!!
Jake Young's a clever player, isn't he. Still missing a bit of fitness I reckon, but he takes up great positions, and the touch will come when he's no longer playing constantly in the red ;-) Very sharp effort from the tight angle.
