A genuinely sad performance. I wonder if the players enjoy coming out and playing like this?
Whats most disappointing is our attitude when we turn the ball over. A few good interceptions and tackles made in the middle of the pitch and instead of countering whilst Wigans defence is out of position, we pass sideways and then backwards, every time.
And if this is going to be a trend away from home, we need to be making more of our set pieces. There isnt a word in the English language that can do Harvey Whites set pieces justice today, it was embarrassing.
A really tough watch, and a disappointing performance, but that said, not a disappointing result

Absolutely.
The last two aways have been tough to watch, and pretty damn dire, but tonight is a reasonable result in keeping a clean sheet and picking up a point away.
What it does do, however, is heap additional pressure on our home games, particularly the next two where you feel if we don't win one there will start to be audible discontent. Luckily Revs has four wins in five home games so here's hoping that trend continues!

Agreed.
Not exciting but clean sheets will keep us in the league.
Defensively very solid and organised given our injuries. Limited them to very little.
Ok we offered very little in attack either but I can live with that away from home at this stage.

That last lineā¦.thatās it. Revs will live and die by the home form. Win Saturday and itās a great point/4 points. Lose as we did to Lincoln after Burton and the picture looks very different. We need to win our home games.

No manager has gone five away games in charge of us in L1 without winning, until now.
GW (twice), Gary Smith, Steve Evans and even Mark Roberts all managed to win away in their first four games, and pick up more points.
However, none of them picked up as many points or wins at home to start as Revs has done.
I am fine with today's result (on the back of the weekend), as a standalone result, but if that is our intention every away game then Revs is going to create serious pressure for himself in our home games, which is a very dangerous game indeed. And won't be popular with our travelling support.

Unpopular view but I don't know what White brings.
Our midfield is terrible on the whole. Normally wouldn't matter so much as we used to bypass them, but now they're an important part of our play.
Someone like NT is fine doing the defensive job but going forward they give us nothing.
Bring back Gilbey and JFC!

Re: Match Thread

I was looking forward to seeing AppƩrƩ and Kemp this season after everyone saying how brilliant they were. I remember caveating that with "in League 2".
Kemp has shown he has ability but not the way we currently play and AppƩrƩ hasn't featured at all.
Then we signed Young who again is apparently brilliant (in League 2) whereas I thought their other striker Cook was the good one. Again we haven't seen him.
We signed King who is brilliant, but the little I've seen of him didn't show any of that brilliance.
So maybe they will be brilliant if we played in League Two or if they weren't all bloody injured.
Amazingly List has been one of the few positives despite missing a shit load of chances in two games. Least we had chances when he played.
Defence is good though. I'd like to see Taye back just because I like him, no offence to Cooper, he's been good but I think Taye will add something.

I only recall 3 highlights from tonight's game.
1) Harvey Whites free kick in the first half that was about 10 yards short of anyone
2) Butler kicking the ball out for a corner under no pressure about 40 yards from goal
3) Wildin swinging his leg to clear the ball, missing it and it hitting his other leg.
Everyone else was pretty average/non-existant.
Yawn.
