Robin Shroot put an end to Notts County once and for all, I don't know why we've continued playing them after that.

That was a brilliant day.

Notts County one of the teams I always want to lose. Arrogant club with arrogant fans.

Them having to take down the "Oldest Football League club in the world" sign when they were relegated is possibly the greatest moment in football history since 2013, when the game went to shit.

When I was at the Gainsborough Trinity FA Cup match on Saturday they have signs saying the oldest single club stadium in the world.

There's signs for all sorts these days.

That's a good point. Like Baker Street being the oldest underground station. "Can I have a ticket to..um?"

Clubs that don't exist anymore.

Maybe Wimbledon, Newton Heath, Stevenage Athletic or Woolwich Arsenal?

Made me wonder who was the first football club rather than the oldest still going. (Seems Crystal Palace is older than Notts County anyway?)

The earliest recorded football club is thought to be the Foot-Ball Club of Edinburgh, which was established in 1824 by Edinburgh student John Hope. However, the identity of the oldest football club is often disputed, and several clubs claim to be the oldest.

Here are some other notable football clubs:

Sheffield Football Club
Founded in 1857 by cricketers Nathaniel Creswick and William Prest, Sheffield FC is considered by FIFA and the FA to be the oldest football club in the world. The club played its first inter-club game against Hallam FC in 1860.

Dublin University Football Club
Founded in 1854 at Trinity College, Dublin, this rugby union club is the oldest still-existing "football club" with a well-documented history.

Melbourne FC
Founded in 1859, this club is the oldest football club in Australia and the second oldest in the world.

Crystal Palace F.C.
Founded in 1861, Crystal Palace is the oldest league club in existence that still plays professional football.

It's definitely Sheffield. They would play games against each other of the likes of professionals vs amateurs, men against boys etc. Hallam have the oldest football ground, which is also a cricket ground and was originally just an enclosed bit of farmland.
