Well, nobody expected that!

I’d normally agree, but as someone who always liked List and hoped his success would return, it was good to see him bag a brace. One swallow doesn’t make a summer, of course, but it was great to see him back with some form and for Boro to demonstrate some winning ways against ‘strong’ opposition. According to the FLS last night, List got 4 all season last year but is already on 3 for this year - a good way to put it, I thought, and hopefully a prediction of a successful season ahead for him.
The change between first and second half was immeasurable (well, except by goals maybe!) and it looks like Revs may well have some tactical nous after all. I was so pleased for him, to intervene in the match and get his result must’ve felt good for him and boosted his and the squad’s confidence. I’d have to say Barnsley weren’t what I was expecting - they troubled us about as much as our first half had troubled them - but still a notable opposition to put to the sword like that. There might be plenty to look forward to after all.

I was pleased for List as I still remember his relatively short peak with a lot of fondness, but have to admit 'watching him play' was a reasonable way to write him off.

Subs wise today ,Simpson was bloody slow but must be an awkward sod to play against so could be a good option for certain games or situations.

He's musclebound and can't run. He's also a complete lightweight when it comes to challenging for the ball. I really can't see what he brings to the team.

The scapegoat. We all need a player to moan about, he's taking one for the team.

Haha yes, Tyreece attracts strong, ahem, views(?) on the terrace, doesn't he!
There's a player in there. We all saw that at Northampton. Confidence *and fitness* are lacking at the mo. We need to give him time, and most importantly stay off his back. As mentioned elsewhere he has attributes to be a real handful, and a different option to our other strikers.

Agree, my point was obviously slow but has other attributes.
