parking oppisite the ground

their seems to be an event in the park, but be careful as they seem to be charging £ 6.00 for parking
,dont see how they can charge anyway as it is a public car-park during match days

as the showground is obviously available for private hire the club should hire it for saturday afternoons, put some stewards in and make a nominal charge.

Not sure it's a public car park as such. It's a council owned piece of land and there's nothing stopping them making it pay and display all the time, other than the initial cost outlay of converting it, and probably very little revenue from it other than match days, and also alienating the football fans.
We are quite lucky to have a fairly big free car park opposite the ground which isn't ours.
Granted this sort of thing is annoying.

Tbf they should charge. £2 or something. And tarmac and line it up properly and chuck a couple stewards there for the day to Marshall the entrance and exit.
Would make them loads of money and I don’t think anyone would begrudge a small charge for a well run car park.

The Club has been informed this morning that due to an event taking place at Fairlands Valley this afternoon, limited parking will be available for a £6 fee.
Don’t shoot the messenger or the club!

I don’t don’t know why you are worried about parking as we are walking to the ground from the pub.

Seems to be this , surely they can only charge for parking if you are going to the event, unless they have hired whole car park.PS nothing on the Matchday guide to say you can't park there

All the people would just say they're going to the football if they tried to split the same car park into free and paying
