Changed just a bit going by what I’ve just seen on Look East. No doubt Angela Rayner will take all the credit for that! And what’s happened to the bus Station? Some years since I’ve been to that part of ‘nidge.

Where the old bus station was is an absolute eye sore. Looks like someone’s randomly thrown white paint everywhere on the ground for no reason.
Alongside the old Maccies which has been shut for half a decade with no one occupying the building the town centre now is just vape shops and empty buildings

The park is meant to be like this in Denmark, but obviously the budget way tight:

Plan was to put a new parade of cafes and restaurants through the middle of that area and build around it so that there is a community to use it
This is the view from the fountain and clock tower to the bus station, rail station and leisure park in the far distance

It's still the image they use at the top of this website about it
https://stevenage-even-better.com/
Obviously the actual developer they appointed and the progression of time might scake things back and it's all being done as piecemeal applications, but I think that's still the end vision

Without people no one wants to go to the town centre (especially when you have to pay for the privilege of just visiting it), hence all the shops moving to the Roaring Meg.
Once the town centre is rebuilt with people living in it things might improve, but on he whole everyone shops on line now

Our town centre is decent too.
Got your usual mass of barbers, vape shops and the like, but also plenty of independent shops and some very good eateries and some nice pubs. All helps to ensure there are always people spending time and money there, and keeping plenty of life in the place rather than giving the appearance of a rundown ghost town that so many places now have.

Stevenage town center has been in decline for some time, but compared to Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield town centers, Stevenage is actually preferable.
Has anyone been to Welwyn Garden City town center recently? It was a great town in the '90s when you could smell the cereal from the shredded wheat factory and see the massive white chimney from miles away. Sadly, the town center has become very boring now.

WGC town centre is indeed rubbish now. Big name shops like M&S and Next vacating the Howard Centre in the last couple of years have made it a very sad place to visit these days. I'm surprised John Lewis remains open.

Twister come out in 1996, at the same time Cineworld opened. The old cinema closed in April 1994 and I remember seeing Lion King and Loch Ness at the Galleria during the interim, which seemed a lot longer than two years.

IMDB says Twister came out six days after the first one so either it's wrong or you were on some VIP premiere shit.

Hicks was the best player on the pitch. I’m not sure if that was Braintree’s first eleven as they have a friendly today too but Hicks would walk into the side we played against last night.
Evans took his goal well and there were flashes of what he can do. We didn’t create much going forward in all honesty though.
Was great to see Ronnie’s son in the starting line up. I hope his injury isn’t anything too serious.
Didn’t think much of the trialist centre back, seemed quite lightweight and a few hairy back passes, one of which led to their goal.

We did indeed.
Deflection for Harvey's goal. Defensive mistake (underhit pass to the keeper) from the trialist CB for Inih Effiong to equalise. Very nice finish from Makise Evans for the winner.
