Just shows you how much his level must have dropped , not even joined a top NI side arguably Linfield or Larne .

All about the money.
Got offered a decent wage for PT football and let's face it he needs to bank as much as he can because he will probably be carrying a hod or similar once he retires.
Arguably the best attacking player in the league he's in according to some forums over there. (I have no idea of the standard or his current standard).

High praise considering he was playing in the same league as Boro legend David Parkhouse.

As youth team captain he was so far ahead of the rest of his group it was untrue. Huge workrate too.
As you say talent alone doesn't cut it.

Yes as mentioned there was potential there, but so inconsistent.
However I would happily take him on a short term contract, till January maybe, to see what he has to offer this time round, as I believe in second chances for those who deserves a second chance.

Nowhere near League One level.

Depending on his contract demands I'd certainly take him on a 1-year contract. He's 27 so not old yet.
Sure he'd be there more forever depth and might not get much gametime. But if he came back and rediscovered the player he was he'd be starting regularly.

I get what everyone said about flattering to deceive and that he's not even cutting it at the Irish league level but I still think there's a case to be made for him.
Look how many 'rejects' we used to take under GW in the 2000s that played out of their skin and ended up in higher divisions.
I know he was only 17 but wasn't Boyd dropped from Charlton's academy.
I'm not trying to say Kennedy is anywhere near that level but he was a great player with us and at one point looked like he'd be the next Freeman, and make the jump up to the Championship (still don't know how Luke didn't become a lower-table PL regular).
Yes, it does seem like he's been a bust at the Irish league level but raw talent doesn't just fade away. It can get buried for a number of reasons. If he could some-how recapture that form he showed in bursts with us he'd be a great filler and rotational player.
From what I remember (and I could be mixing him up with someone else here) he was only moved on to the Irish leagues because he dropped off a bit and fell out with the club.
If he could genuinely return and make a happy home for himself here I think he'd be a worthwhile addition.
At the end of the day he's a free-agent and Irish league reject so, even for a club of our size, he'd be relatively cheap salary-wise.
Give him a 1 year contract and if he's not working then loan him out for 6 months in January to run down his contract and save us paying the second half of his contract.
He might flop but how many flops have we turned around? Genuinely think we need to get back to that ethos and approach. Rejects that Revell can turn around, augmented with more experienced (at this level and above) talent we can nab on a cheap or free deal.
We're not a club that can be buying, or scooping up on a free, loads of players from the leagues around us if we want lots of depth.
We need more recruitment from the top-end of the non-league that we can develop and rotate in the ones that work when our main starters need a break. That way we can start to have a squad approaching the size that top-end clubs at our level, and some Championship clubs have.
Then again I may be chatting absolute pish and be wearing my nostalgia goggles when it comes to Ben...

I’ll take a contract if we’re giving them to people who aren’t good enough again.

Why dont we get Gorman and McKee back aswell? Nowhere near League 1 standard but that doesn't seem an issue with this thread.

Absolutely not. Flattered to deceive for most of his time here and that was in League Two. There was definitely potential but he ended up back in the Northern Irish league and not playing at a higher level in England for a reason.

The only good thing he did was to score against Luton at Kenilworth Road and then sprint the full length of the pitch to celebrate with the fans.

Amazing when he burst onto the scene with two goals at Hartlepool, sad that he just sort of shuffled off it.

Also what is the Irish league , Conf North)/South at best plus think all teams part time , so he prob has a real job anyway so would not want to relocate.
