Clearly we drew 2-2. And it's meaningless, but any evidence of a change in approach, shape or playing style?

Very similar playing style. Rev’s constantly barking orders about our press. Was clear that individuals don’t know their “roles” yet; when to/not to press and who their marks are.
That being said lots of good energy. Continually trying to keep a narrow shape and force Watford out wide, for us to try and turn the ball over. Not as much Evans ball as I expected.
Good game against a team that like to play. If it weren’t for it being a PSF we’d definitely hav gotten a few cards for tackles. First goal felt very similar to the one England conceded, caught it possession in front of our back 4, not closed down and a great strike to finish.
Thought the back 4 generally looked solid even after the team rotated in the second half. Kane’s decision making could improve I felt but nothing major.
Standouts for me were:
Apere
White
Hicks
Pidge
Roberts
I’d give Roberts Motm, amazing defensive work and most of our chances came through him.
I know he’s young but Harrison looked out of his depth. Don’t really remember a moment where he did anything apart from winning a free kick.
List also didn’t look sharp, great runs only for his first touch to knock the ball out of play
Again…all the first game of the season but a lot to be excited about!

Interesting, what I was told was that Harrison Smith looked mature, got into good positions and didn't look fazed by being up against three big CBs.
Smith and White apparently the two brightest sparks and both looked very good, with Smith MOTM.
Freestone apparently looked awkward at LB, but would be good at CB in a four or one of the three in a five. We looked much better after Butler came on.
Phillips will win lots of tackles but get lots of bookings.
The energy and Revs constantly barking orders was also said.
I will be back for Jersey, although not sure we will get much out of that, beyond some team bonding, likewise playing against Chelsea kids. Coventry and Braintree will be useful tests. Hope we are ready to go from the off as our September and October fixtures look nasty on paper and I really don't want Revs/us to be under pressure early on so you feel those Shrewsbury and Burton games especially need to see some points.

I can see that with his positions going forwards, but he did struggle win anything and didn’t really look comfortable on the ball.
Rev’s was giving him hell during the middle 40 minutes of game. I don’t think he was too happy with his press - pressing the inside of players to force the ball out. He was also continually telling him to run, the poor guy although that was probably Rev’s deliberately putting him through the gauntlet a bit.
Agree with the Freestone comments, however he does allow us to play a back 3 and let LJW/KS to push up. Definitely no.2 left back behind Butler.
Will be interesting with a bit more quality in Apere and kemp whether we need to rely on defence capabilities of Phillips or whether that’ll be a tactical option to go more defensive if we want to.
I think we’ve got a clear system we ‘want’ to play so that’s just a matter of time before it clicks. My worry is that if we want to press so much, our fitness won’t be at those levels come the start of the season.

Left Dundalk after a ten game ban for abusing a match official with an anti-Irish slur (called the ref an "Irish c*nt").

Not that I see any issue with that, personally.
No different to calling somebody a Cockney C-Bomb, or Scouse C-Bomb, or Geordie C-Bomb etc., which are all fine IMO.

To turn it around, if an Irish player called the ref in a League One match an English c*nt I would have absolutely no issue with it (and he would very likely be right, afterall).
If he was going down race lines, or something such as the shortening of somebody from Pakistan, then sure, but to just use the full name of the country is not an issue IMO.
I understand why the league would have disciplined him for it of course, to make a stand, but personally don't think what he did is a reason for us to vilify him or anything.

Seemed needless to add 'Irish' to the insult, it's highly likely that all the refs in the Irish league are Irish...

It doesn’t seem unreasonable given that the British state has killed and imprisoned plenty of innocent Irish people.
What does his wage have to do with it?

The actions of the British state were entirely reasonable in self-defence, if we assume they were somehow aware of Mrs Browns Boys in advance

Actually as a non royalist agree but the general principle of a National Anthem is ok.In Commonwealth games at least England use Jerusalem. Not saying it should be that but an example.

The French one, sung by drunk French farmers at about 1am on Bastille Day when you're trying to sleep is a sound to behold.
But it isn't good.
At least if England win tonight, the victory will be followed by much fireworks here. Which is nice.

Do they play the Saudi anthem before league games?
Edit:
There's a lot going on in your question:
- not sure if Saudi teams would want him
- not sure if he'd go even if they did
- maybe he's not arsed about their human rights record
- maybe he'd be happy to turn his back
It's literally not possible to answer your question
