Yet again you have totally ignored my point and gone off on a tangent. As I said, my comments were nothing to do with his entertainment values, they were about people saying he is clueless. You don't have a better winning percentage in home games (where clubs make their money) at this level than all our previous managers if you are clueless.

But if you are so adamant we are going down this route yet again...quite honestly I don't think anybody can deliver flair football with us whilst being successful at this level, on our budget, just as they never have previously.

But let us look at Cambridge, who stayed up on the last day the past two seasons and are going down this season, whilst losing almost £3mil in their latest set of accounts. Would you rather attempt to he more adventurous and have that, or would you rather be a bit more boring and comfortably stay up each season?

Ideally you stay up comfortably whilst being attacking, but if it is one or the other, I take the one that doesn't relegate us back to L2 and playing boring clubs every week. And success at home is where you make your money as a club. If he continues having the best winning percentage at home of all our managers at this level, then crowds will continue to be good.

He did his job this season. And I am sure was more conservative (granted he appears to be a fairly conservative manager based on all evidence across all spells) because he knew it was his last chance of making it as a manager and had HUGE pressure after last season and his first spell.

Next season needs to be more entertaining, and he will be aware of that, but not at the expense of results, and if it takes defensive showings to keep clean sheets and pick up points to maintain L1 status, I tek it.
