Breaking down 10 men in a low block is never conducive to 'great football'. It enforces a sort of stalemate, until, like last night, you patiently break it. Then another goal soon follows. Resistance broken. In football terms this is evidenced in the first half, when Northampton were higher, and easier to get behind - see E.List burning up the supposedly rapid Guinness-Walker. That was direct, but effective, and it caused Northampton loads of problems.

Beyond that, it is obvious that people need to realign their lofty expectations, and see last night as progress.
