I swear you and I must be fitted with the same footballing software, for every post you’ve put on this thread is almost word for word what I was saying during the match and after. I thought that first half was one of the best performances I can remember, certainly under Revs, and shows me that if he can coax that tune out of the players then clearly he is a better manager than many would give him credit for. We were so close, so often - look at that double strike by Kemp, one off the keeper then one off the line by the defender - if we score that and go ahead, I say we retain dominance of the entire game. I really could not have asked for more (other than a goal) from that half - a fast, accurate, skilful game full of pace, desire and some truly beautiful silky football. A real shame the deserved goal didn’t come.

But what is he thinking for those subs? Apart from Kemp, he basically took off any/all our goalscoring threats. List had been a great asset all game, yet off he goes. Young and his endless pace, off. And coming on the least likely scorers in the club. Not that Reid is necessarily the answer - I’m quite sure he wouldn’t have been. But it isn’t Simpson, nor Aboh in my opinion. Was he playing for a defeat, I thought? Surely not! But alas it was so.

Such a shame. That first half shows exactly what we can do, and if we played like that before, or on Tuesday, I think we’d be fine. But now points are at stake, will he revert to the perceived safety of Revball? Let’s hope not.
