I think it is a good example of the management realising something isn't working and changing our approach (something Revs has been criticised for in the past for failing to do). Scoring relatively early in the second half took the pressure/anxiety away.
For most of the first half I thought we were heading for a rerun of the Lincoln game, with balls aimlessly whacked forward. Reid makes a difference though, and on this occasion so did Roberts, though I'm never sure which JR is going to turn up. After the break we just got better and better – Freeman got further forward on the right, List stretched them and suddenly we looked like a team that could play a bit. The cavalry mostly showed really good energy, though I confess I can't see a League One footballer in Simpson.
I suspect Murphy is a very decent goalkeeper, but he gets so much protection from this back four it is hard to know.
Goode just might be our best signing since Pidge.
One result doesn't make a season; we need to build on this and get on the front foot earlier. But this is surely the best squad we have ever had.
