If you mean me, I think you’ve misunderstood. Of course they’ve got bigger expectations than us - I was being a bit tongue/in-cheek with that last sentence - I was more interested in the perspective. They’re just 6 places ahead of us, yet dropping out of the playoffs spots is considered failure. This from a manager who has had them in the top 6 all season. It makes the Boro feel remarkably steady under Revs and while his achievements are seen as a mixed bag by us ‘Chatists, we are so obviously overachieving and Revs is doing a pretty good job holding us consistently in midtable. Thank goodness we don’t have that weight of expectation on us. What a pressure. It really could be far worse for us than what we have now.
