Yup, we had the same discussion. And said that had we played like that last weekend we would definitely have scored and won.

The performance today showed to me that the players are still on side and we very much still have it in us (result a big shame, but Mansfield were one of the toughest ties we could have been given in this round). But you cannot ignore such a long winless/goalless run, so the next two games against sides below us are vital. I still fully believe we won't be going down even if we keep Revs all season, whereas a new manager coming in may have the opposite affect of what we want and see us go down, but I get that many fans don't seem to agree, which is fair enough.

I also believe it won't take much at all to turn things around. Even something like playing as we did today and taking a couple of chances to beat Northampton 2-0 for instance, to get that monkey off our back, could be all that is needed to then go and beat Crawley and suddenly be on our way again and be well clear of any trouble. We just need to get out of the rut.

I enjoyed today and I have renewed optimism and am right up for Tuesday evening. That is key to me in believing we should hold firm, for now.
